Dr Black is a general Psychiatrist with extensive hospital and community experience, including the Black Dog Institute, who offers expert, professional and personal care to meet an individual’s needs and goals. Comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatments are provided with a balance of both medications and psychological support. Treatment recommendations and clinical priorities are discussed in collaboration with each person to focus on their recovery and improved quality of life.

Speciality areas of interest are – mood disorders including treatment resistant depression; anxiety conditions; ADHD; PTSD; mental health treatments in pregnancy.

Medical treatments will be offered that are approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia (TGA) and recommended in Clinical Guidelines. This includes medications for weight management as the mental health condition or treatment may often contribute to weight gain.  

Assistance is provided for adults 18 years or older. DVA veterans are welcome.
